Just 35 watts. Don't believe it sounds better than a 100W Sony? Come give it a listen; a classical clean amplifier with nothing to hide. I was amazed, and you will be too. It has bass and treble controls, but the ability to eliminate them from the circuit path. There are a second set of binding posts that can be enabled with the extra speakers feature that make bi-wiring a snap. As well as the 512, I also have my VCR, DVD player, and headphone amplifier hooked up to the 314
