Die Zauberflöte from Baden-Baden
Excited to announce that we'll be stocking the forthcoming DVD of Robert Carsen's acclaimed production of Die Zauberflöte from this year's Easter Festival at Baden-Baden, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle and with the Berliner Philharmoniker in the pit. Kate Royal and Pavol Breslik sing Pamina and Tamino, with Michael Nagy as Papageno; the smaller roles receive luxury casting, with José van Dam as the Speaker and Annick Massis, Magdalena Kožená and Nathalie Stutzmann making up one of the starriest trios of Ladies on record! Out on the orchestra's own label later this summer.
