Hamburg - Deutsche Grammophon has signed an exclusive contract with the exciting Italian violinist Giuliano Carmignola. Equally adept on modern and Baroque instruments, Carmignola has established a formidable reputation in his concert and recital appearances throughout Europe, North America, and the Far East. His first project for Archiv Produktion will be a selection of Italian Baroque concertos, such as works by Tartini, Veracini, and other rarities of the brilliant virtuosic repertoire, to be recorded with the Venice Baroque Orchestra (VBO) under Andrea Marcon. Carmignola's solo projects for Archiv Produktion will include J. S. Bach's unaccompanied Sonatas and Partitas, the ultimate affirmation of a violinist's artistry
