Regarding the other point the reality is more complex. We work with CEC for more than 10 years and we sometimes used PCB's from them which we modified. That truth has never been a secret but other truthes can be pointed out: The situation is that for small companies like us it is somewhat a waste of time and also ridiculous in that ever changing market to develop for example a servo when you know that performances depends on the chip set. All is inside those chips where software and thousands of components are at work. You can easily understand that a handful of peripherical additional components cannot do any magic. So one can say that all servos, based on the same chip set, are almost the same. So, if you find a well made servo somewhere, if you like it, if you can have it and if you add a few modifications from your own, simply use it. Naturally, with other sections and when musical qualities are concerned the real job of a true audio designer starts. Sorry for being a bit tough but I'd like to say that the definition of any product is up to the designer only. If you do not like a product, don't buy. Even a well informed customer has no idea of the complex reality of the production chain from design to distribution and by the way just talking makes no sense. In the same time, please note that nobody complains when all players use the same CD mechanism ! For example, how many brands with the Philips CDM12 ? Audiomeca has designed and produced its own mechanisms from scratch. A long six years study before commercial launch. You know, all those kinds of story are internal to a company. Instead it is much more interesting to spend time listening to good music. I never go to any forum but I always reply to audiophile letters. Right now I am doing so for you. Thank you very much to you for speaking for me at your forum. This is very kind of you but please understand that if I have been happy to write and answer to your question, I am not at all interested to see my infos on any forum. To give more and more to be discussed at length is a waste of time and brings most of the time nothing good nore clear. Thanks for your understanding.
