Wire getting put into base…notice the single earth wire…I ran a new wire up the arm tube to the headshell screw for a perfect earth system…this arm will be totally hum free
We finished the arm rebuild, bios and bearing work. It took many hours, but was good fun and finished with excellent results. After testing the arm is silent, with no hum. The performance was excellent.
I made one mp3 recording on the floppy powered test bed with our now standard £7.99 nagoka cartridge

Here is the finished arm
Notice the modified brass arm height rings ….solid brass

Rega R200
Fitted to the original Planar 2 and Planar 3 turntables the R200 tonearm was manufactured by Acos in Japan. The S-shaped arm tube and arm base are nickel plated steel. Tracking force (VTF) is applied by rotating the counterweight and bias adjusted by a toothed belt from a rotary control on an outrigger. The arm requires a mounting distance of 222mm and a 25mm mounting hole. The RB 300 is a drop in replacement and early models where supplied with a stepped spacer to locate the arm centrally in the mounting hole (later Planar's came cut out for the slimmer RB stem). The R200 is popular on the used market and while the bearings have proved durable
Arm is in mint condition and working order if your looking for a decent arm at a decent price look no further suits most popular turntables
