RAM那家是很差的,我经历过他们的服务.技术差,人品差服更差,还好后来9折出手了.
当然是听过他的产品的用户支持他了.下面的是听过的说:"如果我没有听过ALEX的机器,我看了你的评价一定认为你是被雇用的枪手"

Yes, Source Direct ON is pure DSD. Source Direct OFF is DSD converted to PCM. I am about to make a public announcement that I am abandoning DSD in its pure form. This format contains so much RF noise that is hard to believe. In order to have best sound out of DSD a heavy filtering is required. Scarlet Book calls for -18db at 50KHz. Otherwise you see specs that SACD (DSD) top extension is 100 KHz - impossible. The best sounding SACD machine is EMM Labs/Meitner. They use Burr-Brown's DSD1700 DACs which are DSD only. This DAC contains multiple FIR filters and is followed by two filtering stages in the analog domain built with OP Amps. Clearly, DSD has to be steeply filtered for best sonic results. Now, what is a better filtration to DSD other than converting it (linear) to PCM - 176.4KHz/24bit? In my knowledge - none. This is not only completely removing the noise from DSD but also provides top extension of, theoretically, 88.2KHz which is much higher than 50KHz, not to talk about the accuracy of 24 bit word on each sample. I think the guys from Accuphase and Esoteric are not that dumb after all since all of their units convert to PCM. I am fed up with DSD too.

As for the warmer sound with pure DSD, it's because of the noise most of the detail is masked which results in "warmer" mids but misses clarity.

这是他说的,很好呀.上面一个贴子他也说了他发现的DSD OFF更好听,所以要证实一下,搞了这个调查.
他说DSD PURE里面有很多高频率噪音.效果还不如直接DDSD-->88KHZ PCM.

他说为什么会PCM比DSD PURE还好?是因为新的AKM DAC对PCM的解码太好了,所以感觉CD格式太太好了,其实DSD效果和以前一样,只是对PCM的解码太好了反而觉得用DSD PURE不好了.这没有看出他不会做DSD PURE而是更看出他水平高呀.

那你看什么算公论? 两次圣迭哥对比赛,都是请了圣迭哥声学学会的人来最评委的.至少有5-7个人,这些人当时根本不是APL用户,也没有必要支持或否定谁.
而且都是盲听的.
第一次是半斤八两,APL 3910在CD上稍微占优势,EMMLAB 在SACD上稍微占优. 而且第一次还有不用前级,用机器里的前级直接AMP,投APL SACD的比EMM SACD还多了. 最近着次就没有什么好说的,对EMM 压倒性的优势.

你要等EMM自己出来认输才叫公论吗?

APL 3910用AKM的PCM解码已经比EMM LABS的DSD好了,这次对比圣迭哥已经已经说明了, 原来的CRSTAL DAC 用DSD和EMM LABS 用DSD比也是在伯仲之间. 几个过滤器也把事情搞得复杂昂贵就是EMM LAB的本事?

他的设计是可以通过遥控选择DSD DIRECT,越过DSD解码,也可以不越过.

至于说新的PHILPS CD-PRO2M,那只不过是在同样的廉价机心上家个铸铝的壳子而已.,...

人家回答了:这是从另一个角度拍摄的PRO2M,可以看见里面2个廉价的驱动马达. DENON的TRANSPORT比这个好得多.如果你叫这个high end 转盘,那我早就开始改早SONY机器了..

I knew this already.  

There are pictures taken from diffrent angles, like this one for example:  

where the two cheap DC motors can be clearly seen. The smal (to the left) for the tracking and the bigger (on the right) for spindle. If you call this high end transport, then I should start modding Sony as well.  

The Denon has MUCH better transport and DSP than this "Pro" CDM.

他不只是对EMM,上次对RAM AUDIO,那个SHOP很狂有很没有职业道德,在自己论坛上自己亲自出马偏低3910(很象这里的某位大线虾),结果最后搞了对比大赛,RAM AUDIO把自己最好的改装的MARANTZ 11 SACD,1.2万美元对他的$5000 3910.
结果惨败.
听众也不少,而且每次对比赛都是用盲听的,听众根本不知道是听什么机器. 那象国内搞的所以对比,已经先入为主了.
