Similar experience on Yau shing 6/F for Denon receiver......
Would like to purchase the Denon 2805 and B&W speaker at Yau Shing
6/F and ask for the price and whether hong goods is available. The
sales check and said only speaker available but not the receiver.
Also he questioned why I choose Denon but not others. They only have
the 3805 but he claimed that Denon 3805 is even worse than Yamaha
1400. He the connected the both amps alternatively with B&W speaker
for A/B test. Strangely, the Yamaha 1400 sounds better than Denon
3805 and the result is different from my previous test in other
shops between 2805 and 1400. My friend who is more expert in audio
also felt a bit strange and go to have a quick look on speaker
connection.
We left without purchase and my friend then told me that they put +-
connection wrongly on the speaker and thus sound out-phase. Such a
bad selling technique in current economy. You know it might be
possible that Yamaha 1400 is better than 2805 for similar price
range products but how could 1400 be better than 2805 ???? If this
is the case, who will purchase Denon stuff ??
Originally intend to purchase B&W speaker there but now will not
purchase anything from that shop at all.....
In fact, I found that 6/f and 10/f will focus selling yamaha and
pioneer and bad month for Denon......Similar case like law_li99
experience in Century....
On my A/B testing case there, they use same DVD player and speaker
w/cable and this could in theory test the difference in AMP so they
need to have some tricks on the cable connection......
