莫扎特的《安魂曲》自己没写完，由后人补遗流全有几个版本，以往常用的是苏斯梅尔（Sussmayr）版，上一代指挥如瓦尔特，卡拉扬，波姆等多用此版，稍后的贾丁纳，马连纳也使用这个版；近代的“本真派”比如说哈农库特和霍格伍德则使用贝耶（Beyer）版，捎后还有Eybler的版本，而且还有的指挥在上面这些版本基础上根据自己的研究和理解整理的版本。
这里介绍这张使用的是的苏斯梅尔（Sussmayr）版，并根据指挥自己的研究稍作整理，下面是唱片里的部分说明“Although these efforts are worthy of interest,the results did not seem to us to be as convingcing to the ear as they did in theory.We have,therefore,chosen to perform Sussmayr's version,considering its historical and stylistic interest.”
不管版本之争，这张乐团和合唱编制较小，但秉承harmonia mundi France的优良传统，录音效果非常优秀。
