Dear Dr. West,
It has been two months now since the new panels were put to work. I would like to
report what I have learnt.
(1) The stage is wide, deep and tall. It sounds like the orchestra is playing on a stage in
front of me. The wind and percussion are especially impressive,just like the players are
either standing or sitting in the high chairs. I have never heard anything like that. Just like a
live performance in the orchestra hall.
(2) It is so clear and easy to hear where the different section of instrumentalist are
playing, no confuse, no searching. Every detail is clearly audible.
(3) Very dynamic, very powerful, new UB1 are one huge level above the old UB1 on
their ability to reveal the bass detail. Pipe organ music can sound scarily real , like in a
big church.
(4) Peerless speed and clarity, especially on the high pitch percussion.
(5) Clearly audible are the differences between the sounds of different orchestra in the
recording. This is also a huge step above the old panels.
(6) The tone of different instruments are very real. Cello has never sounded so beautiful
before. On a good recording, the play of string section can sound very seductive.
Every CD I've played so far sound different than before, because the detail of tone,
harmonics,and performer's interpretation, dynamics are all revealed.
All friends who have listened to them were all in awe, no matter they are musicians or
audiophiles.
